VIDEO: One More Day Random Acts of Kindness

Posted by Joanne Ma on

In November, we started a campaign to help support families and individuals currently battling cancer. We sold shirts. A LOT of shirts. The support from the community was overwhelming. And at the end of the month, we used the funds that were raised to help three families (nominated by the community) both financially and emotionally. Unfortunately, by the time we were to execute our random acts of kindness, one of the recipient had lost her battle to cancer. It was an awakening and reminder that cancer does not discriminate. She was young, beautiful, and fought to the bitter end. For that, we have committed to honouring "Auntie Robbie" by dedicating the 'One More Day' campaign in her name. The two families you'll see in the video were incredibly surprised by our community love packages. Having done this right before Christmas allowed them to forget about cancer, for a moment or even a day, and focus on the things that matter... creating moments with the people they love. Thank you everyone who supported this campaign. You've given them strength, courage, and hope. More importantly, you have helped these families create more moments than they can ever ask for.

Our 'One More Day' shirts will remain in the shop throughout the year as we strive to continue supporting individuals and families battling cancer. Our aim is to always support others on a personal level. To help with their financial, emotional, and overall well-being. With your help, we will promise to do just that.

Special thanks to all our local business owners. Without your collaboration, our campaign would not have been the same. This is a true example of how small businesses can really make big differences in the community. Thank you.
