One More Day
“Each day all I need is you and One More Day”
We are incredibly excited and proud to present the 2nd year of the “One More Day” campaign. This campaign holds a very special place in our hearts. Not only have we been personally affected by cancer but it’s still also very present in our lives today. For those who have been following us from day 1, you know our dear friend Kelly (from @arrowhouse) is currently going through her second battle with cancer. When we launched last year we had the privilege of shooting an intimate video with her as she explains how “One More Day” (the quote she created) came to be. We are so honoured to call her our friend. She embodies true strength and beauty and we couldn’t be more proud of her bravery. Along with her brother Darren Pedersen, who is also a cancer survivor, a video was made last year to help convey how this campaign began. This brother and sister duo has been such an incredible force in the community and deserves to be recognized as true change agents with the hope of a cancer-free tomorrow. We are blessed beyond belief to have crossed paths with them and to have started something so meaningful to young families battling cancer. You can read our blog post written last year that started it all and watch the video here.
“In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take, relationships we were afraid to have, and the decisions we waited too long to make”
So, let’s get real for a second. Cancer sucks. Everyone knows it. It’s not pretty. Our goal for this campaign isn’t to make it go away. There are many organizations out there doing great things to raise money for research and state of the art equipment that will truly help transform the way cancer patients are being treated. But that’s not us. We’re taking a more personal approach. When going through cancer, the individual is beaten. Physically, mentally, emotional, and spiritually. Sometimes the last thing you want to hear is more money going to research as you feel it won’t help you right now, right this second when you’re feeling incredibly low. So, our goal is to help change that a little bit. At least try and put a smile back with a little love.
This year’s new designs are on super-soft, eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics. You will love the look and feel of these shirts. Partial proceeds from each of these shirts will help build funds to execute random acts of kindness to families currently battling cancer in their lives.
Thank you for those who have purchased a shirt. These will continue to be on sale to continue building funds for our next OMD campaign in 2016. Nominations are now CLOSED and we are currently in the processing of planning and developing our #OneMoreDayAHxMF event. Be sure to check on our social media outlets for updates and we hope you continue to keep the conversation and support going.
From the bottom of all our hearts, THANK YOU.
