In the month of July, we had an incredible opportunity to work with a local company that also gives back in a very unique way. Brass and Unity started when Kelsi Sheren (founder for B & U) wanted to give back to Veterans less fortunate than her. Her story is remarkable. She joined the Military right after college and had a 4 year stint in the Canadian Forces including a tour in Afghanistan during the summer of 2009. After serving on the front lines, she was diagnosed with severe PTSD and was forced to return home. Thankfully Kelsi had a great team put in place to aid her recovery that she continues to work with on a daily basis. Knowing how fortunate she was to have the support she had, there was no question she wanted to do something to give back to the Veterans that did not receive the support she did.
It was one day that she started tinkering with the idea of incorporating brass shell casings into jewelry that blossomed into a unique Patent Pending design. Brass and Unity was born. It is something she is so passionate about, something that continues to provide a form of therapy to aide her recovery, and something that she is proud to build and share with the world.
We are so thrilled to be joining forces with Kelsi and bringing you an exclusive design only sold here on Modern Fort. This design will be benefitting Honour House Society. It is a refuge, a home away from home for Canadian Forces personnel, emergency services personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area. These brave individuals, along with their families, sacrifice so much on a daily basis to protect our freedom and our everyday way of life.
We only have a few pieces left so get them here while you still can.
These bracelets are incredibly trendy, stylish, and well-made. Stars from Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan to Kevin Hart have been spotted wearing Brass and Unity in support of our troops and their families.
Get your exclusive pieces here and support our Veterans, troops, and their families. It's the least we can do to say, "Thank you... for putting your life on the line so that we can live ours."
